It is late July in Commerce, and the thermometer outside has been climbing all afternoon. You walk in from a trip to the Tanger Outlets off I-85, expecting cool relief, and instead the house feels like a sealed oven. The vents are open, but the air pushing out is warm, and the unit is running without cooling a thing.
That is where we come in. Jordan Air (Jordan Air, Heating, Plumbing, & Electric) has been keeping homes comfortable across the Georgia Piedmont since 1993, and we handle AC Repair in Commerce, GA every day of the year. Call us at (706) 807-2309 and we can get someone moving toward your door.
Commerce sits in Jackson County, right along Interstate 85, in a stretch of Georgia where summers are hot and humid and the storms roll through with real force. And when a July thunderstorm knocks out a capacitor or a compressor gives up in the middle of a heat wave, waiting is not an option. The good news is we run 24/7, so a breakdown at midnight gets the same attention as one at noon.
Common AC Problems We See in Commerce
The humid subtropical climate here is hard on cooling equipment. Systems run long hours from late spring into early fall, and small issues turn into full breakdowns fast. Here are the problems homeowners call us about most:
- Warm air blowing from the vents despite the unit running
- A frozen evaporator coil or iced-over line set
- Refrigerant leaks that leave the system starved and weak
- A blower motor or capacitor that has failed outright
- Loud grinding, buzzing, or rattling from the outdoor unit
- Water pooling around the indoor air handler
- A thermostat that no longer talks to the system
The reality is that a struggling AC often gives warning signs before it quits completely. But those signs are easy to miss when you are busy. If you catch anything early, calling sooner rather than later usually means a smaller repair.
Full HVAC Services We Offer
We are not only a repair outfit. When a unit is past saving, or when you want to head off a summer failure entirely, we handle the full range of heating and cooling work. Our HVAC services include:
- AC Installation, AC Repair, and AC Maintenance
- Furnace Repair & Installation
- Furnace Cleaning
- Ductless Mini-Split Installation
- Dryer Vent Cleaning and Air Duct Cleaning
- Insulation Installation
- Commercial HVAC
Even better, we use Aeroseal duct sealing technology and smart HVAC controls to help systems run more efficiently once they are back up. Sealed ductwork matters a lot in this part of the state, where cooled air can leak away into attics and crawlspaces before it ever reaches your living room.
Why Commerce Homeowners Choose Jordan Air
Jordan Air started as a one-man HVAC operation and has grown into a team of more than 75 employees, and it is still family-founded and locally operated. We serve the greater Piedmont region from offices in Watkinsville, Lexington, Danielsville, and Greensboro, which keeps us close to Commerce and the surrounding Jackson County communities like Jefferson, Maysville, and Nicholson.
Here is the problem with a lot of repair pricing: the meter runs while you wait. We do things differently. We charge flat-rate pricing instead of hourly, so you know the cost before the work begins and a slow repair never turns into a surprise bill.
A few more reasons folks here call us:
- We are licensed and insured
- We offer free estimates
- We are available 24/7 for emergencies
- We handle HVAC, plumbing, and electrical under one roof
The catch is that the closest big-city options are a drive away. Athens is nearby, Gainesville is not far, and Atlanta sits more than 60 miles to the southwest. You do not need to look that far. We are right here in the Piedmont, and we know the red clay, the rolling terrain, and the demands this climate puts on a cooling system.
