What is ductwork and why should it be cleaned?
1. Ductwork is the path air takes when being delivered into your home from your Heating & Cooling system.
2. This path consists of metal tubes/pipes, or ducts, in either your crawl space or attic, which are connected to your vents bringing cool or warm air into your home.
3. Dust can build up in your ducts which means you’re getting dirty air pushed into your home.
4. Recent remodels to your home can cause dirt/dust to build up in your ducts.
5. Pet dander can also coat your ductwork blowing that dirty air into your home.
6. The more dust and debris in your ductwork, the harder your Heating & Cooling system has to work to provide cool or warm air into your home, thus increasing your energy bills and shortening the life of your system.
